Animals are a part of many children’s lives and that’s a good thing because there are some truly amazing benefits of raising kids around animals. Animals large and small love, teach, delight, and offer a special kind of companionship for children and adults.  Animals are important to children. They possess many qualities and contribute to the child´s learning and development. Most children are interested in animals, making the topic to an appropriate starting point for educational work both in the home environment and in early childhood education. Children relate to the experiences of everyday life, usually the home, which the school may use in pursuing educational activities.

Friday, March 5, 2021 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. was an exciting moment for me because I can meet Sint Carolus Kindergarten students through a zoom meeting to learn together to know the names of animals that live on land, water and air. The lesson was begun by singing and moving together with two songs "Hello-Hello and Bingo". Even though through virtual learning, they looked cheerful and enthusiastic in following it. They showed their cute and adorable gestures made our learning atmosphere very-very enjoyable.

We continued our learning process with explanation session and continued with QA session. Extraordinary! they can answer all the questions that I asked correctly. Another great thing was someone asked why he hasn't had the turn to be asked. Then immediately I was preparing the question and the child can answer it directly and correctly too.

Finally, the lesson was closed by singing and praying together. It was grateful because they showed their independence and confidence to act and talk. Sint Carolus Elementary School really builds the optimal atmosphere and learning environment for all young children. I would highly recommend Sint Carolus Elementary School to anyone who is looking for a fun, safe, enriching and loving environment for their child! The teachers are very caring, devoted and educated.
